CONTINUING
EDUCATION
The dentist's professional education only begins with dental school. Indeed, the developments in
dental care and materials have been changing faster in the last ten years than in all the history of
dentistry. The challenge to the dental professional is to keep up with the latest developments,
especially those that enhance the health and treatment of patients.
The educational opportunities for the dental professional are made possible through traditional
professional periodicals, associations, and dental seminars. More and more information is now
available through large computer networks of contributing dental professionals. These provide first
hand experiences of materials and technique applications that are shared and debated, real time. In
addition, DVD, videos, audiocassettes and topic-specific periodicals round out an incredible amount
of information.
All these avenues are continuously being pursued in order to provide up-to-date care with the best
that the dental profession has to offer. Our goal is to help our patients become and stay as healthy
as possible and have available all the best techniques, materials and technologies that have been of
proven benefit.
